Is Anilili free?
Yes. It is free to download and free to use, with no paid tier, no trial timer and no account requirement.
Is Anilili available on the Google Play Store?
No. It is distributed as an APK you sideload. Use the download page and the matching setup guide for your device.
Is Anilili safe to install?
Sideloading a trusted APK is a normal Android feature. Download only from the official download page, the Discord server or the linked Hugging Face dataset, and allow the install for one app at a time.
Does Anilili host anime itself?
No. It has no servers and stores no video. It reads episode links from public third-party providers and plays whichever one responds.
Which devices does Anilili run on?
Android phones and tablets on Android 5.1 or newer, and Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV on Fire OS 5 or newer. There is a separate build tuned for TV.
Can I use Anilili on a Samsung or LG smart TV?
Not directly, because those run Tizen and webOS rather than Android. Use a small Android TV or Fire TV device, cast from an Android phone, or mirror your screen.
Can I watch offline?
Yes. Episodes download in the background with subtitles and a progress notification, then play with no connection. You can also export a finished download as an MP4.
Do I need an AniList or MyAnimeList account?
No. Sign-in is optional. When connected, the app shows your lists, adds titles from the player, resumes episodes and syncs watched progress.
Why is a show missing or an episode broken?
Provider catalogues and uptime change constantly. Try another source in the player, switch sub or dub, or check back later. The gap is upstream, not something the app removed.
What is the difference between the phone and TV builds?
The TV build has the large-screen layout and D-pad navigation, and it leaves out Google Cast. That makes it about 1 MB smaller and fixes a Fire TV start-up crash. Both share one application id.
How do I update Anilili?
Accept the in-app update prompt, or download the latest APK and install it over the current one. Settings and downloads are kept. See the update guide for details.
Does Anilili show ads or collect my data?
The app itself has no accounts on our side and no tracking built for advertising. This website uses standard analytics and may serve ads through Google AdSense, covered in the privacy and cookie policies.
Is using Anilili legal?
The app is a client. Whether streaming a particular title is lawful depends on your country and the rights held by the provider. Read the disclaimer, and use licensed services where you can.
Can I request a feature or report a bug?
Yes. Use the community linked from the contact page, and attach a support report from Settings, About for bugs.
